LameSecure 0.80 sucks - f.vosper
In reply to WillI have recently downloaded LameSecure 0.8 and have had a similar experience. I tried to protect my home folder with desasterous consequences. The program created another home folder .app and on restarting the computer found that ALL of my settings has been reset to the defaults. No My Documents could be found. I could still access the Allpications folder but little else.
Solution
Use LameSecure to unprotect [Home}.app folder
Open Finder
Right Click on your home folder
Open Enclosed Folder
Open your original Home folder
If password protected use LameSecure to unprotect [Home}.app folder from this directory
Once unproteected copy Documents from your original Home folder to the automatically created home folder with same name.
Restart
Settings should be restored, you can delete the duplicated original [Home].app folder
