I reviewed version 1.05, this one is because I want to be on record for how bad 2.0 is, and I want the star ratings to reflect this.

Terrible, Explain? - HiRez
Sorry, chevyorange, I listed most of my complaints with 2.0 in my 1.05 review (strange, I know, but I was pointing out how much better 1.05 is than 2.0). 2.0 complaints in short:- App must be open to record.
- Computer will not automatically sleep or blank screen while daemon is running.
- Tiny user interface for the main controller.
- Unfriendly scheduling panel. Many problems here such as the fact that you type time and duration in as xx:xx:xx rather than use time steppers as most apps do. Is 4:00 four minutes? Four hours? Four seconds and no frames? Who knows. As others have mentioned, can't schedule, weekday/weekend-only recordings.
- App crashed on me often, then eventually just started crashing as soon as it was launched every time.
- Gets very confused (usually ending in a crash) when the shark hardware is plugged in or unplugged while the app is running, or if the computer is force-slept.
I think there were other things I didn't like about 2.0 too, but as I have uninstalled it in favor of 1.05, I cannot go look at it. Maybe other people will have better luck with it, but I am a software dev and 2.0 stinks from head to toe of shoddy development, sorry.

It would be nice to have some specifics in your review. I.E. what parts you don't like or don't work?I have had the opposite experience as you have had. I was amongst the very first to get the RS when it shipped and I was so disappointed with the software I almost returned it. The software has gotten better and better to the point that it hasn't missed a recording in over 8 months and has not had a "bad" recording in the same amount of time.
Originally I'd get a "skipping" recording about 30% of the time. That is gone.
My only peeve left with the radioSHARK system is that I must have my 23" HD Apple Cinema display on while it is recording. I hate to think of my expensive desplay burning up just to record a program.
However, RadioShark does everything (finally!) the way I envisioned it when I saw the first pre-release data. It records my programs in AAC bookmarkable, adds them to iTunes and then syncs to my iPod as easily as the state of the art allows.
Keep up the good work, Griffin.
