I think of Acey Deucy as a high-low poker game. I think of this as a Backgammon game. It seems to be a good one, but it's still Backgammon.

Well, my old paperback "According to Hoyle" only lists Acey-Deucy as a backgammon variant, and this wikipedia entry seems to concur.Wednesday, December 21 2005 @ 03:09 PM PST

Contrarily, this wikipedia entry suggests the card game you (and I) are thinking of is known primarily as Red Dog, though it's also been called "Ace-Deuce" and "In between"... though the official site it links to does call the game "Acey-Deucy".So apparently there is some overlap here.

Thousands (millions?) of Navy veterans know what this is, and I think we've got a winner here.Reply to This
