OK. Have managed to rip the dvd onto my desktop - have ts files and mp4.
How do I now get it onto my 5th generation iPod? Have tried all I can and just can't work it. Realise I'm probably an absolute beginner but need some advice.
Thanks

Peter, I can't get to this article. I found the issue online but only the table of contents is visible. I do not have a way to get this UK publication in my location in the US. Is there a way you can send me a copy of the article? I need it desperately!Thank you very much!
You can email me at jwriter at earthlink dot net

Could someone please tell me once you have downloaded a video and it is in a quicktime format how do you burn it to DVD. I have quicktime and vlc players but cannot figure out how to burn it. Please help me. Thank you.Friday, December 23 2005 @ 07:40 AM PST

The best way to do this if you have ripped the movies in MP4 format is to add (include the .) .m4v to the end of the movie. Your mac will ask you if you would like to use this ending instead. Hit use then the background of the video will change from a Quicktime Symbol to an iTunes Symbol. Double click the video now that you have changed the name and it should automatically import into iTunes. Hope this helpsSunday, December 25 2005 @ 07:34 PM PST

Use a program like wiretap pro/ audio HiJack for MP4s. I do it all the time for the Audio Books to get them into MP3 works like a charm.Monday, December 26 2005 @ 10:57 AM PST

Or is you have a mac get Handbrake. Then do a google search for handbrake and ipod. It should give you step by step instructions on how it load it into itunes for the ipod.Tuesday, December 27 2005 @ 12:39 AM PST

I'm not real clever at this but I think you need a program called Handbrake which will convert your video.ts file into something called H.264Reply to This
