You can add this menu bar item, and within it each application you wish, and also assign a "volume" to that particular app from 0% to 100%. This beats out this app and all the ones listed below with the exception of Psst which I use also and have configured in my startup items in Sys. Pref. .. Chech out Detour, and trust me, this IS THE BEST for ZIP $$$
