All but the most simplistic games (single screen shooters, etc) run dog-slow on my G4 MDD (dual 1.24 GHz). Very disappointing indeed - I never had any speed problems with WinMAME on my old 1GHz Athlon, but games like Mortal Kombat 3 and SF Alpha are completely unplayable on the Mac version.

Yes this is true,my 225mhz 604e can play roms faster in linux(xmame) then my 500 mhz g3 in os x.
