I installed the whole thing just for the heck of it and all I can say is it's going to stay on my 3G iPod! I just love the idea of having a variant of Linux on my iPod! BUT I mainly boot into Linux or the games. Audio playback is crappy with the files I'm listening to and I am sure as hell not going to re-encode all my AACs and high-bitrate-MP3s to 128kbit MP3s.
Anyways, if I want to listen to my music I just restart into Apple's iPod OS.
BTW: Make sure to check out iDoom, a Doom port for the iPodLinux. Bet you never even remotely thought about using the two words "iPod" and "Doom" in the same sentence :D
As or the installer: It works as advertised, saving you some manual Terminal-typeing and stuff. Nice. I'd like more updates though, no that podzilla 2 is being worked on.
