We recently discovered a bug in Printer Setup Repair 5.0.3 that causes a problem in the code section that handles and rejects pirated registration codes. Our original objective was to delete the Printer Setup Repair preferences if a pirated code was entered but a typographical error in the code allowed the entire user preferences folder to be erased instead. This would only occur if a pirated code was used. There was no such error found in the area that handles legitimate registration codes. We have fixed the problem and posted an update.
This was not a malicious act on our part, rather an effort to protect our product from software pirates, and we regret any damage that may have been caused by the use of pirated registration codes.
Anyone who downloaded Printer Setup Repair 5.0.3 between 11-05-05 and 12-06-05 should download the current release (version 5.0.3) from our web site

Anti Social, Troll "gang" - Ilgaz
There is an anti social, never coded anything serious gang of "coders"(!) who claims they know better than everyone on earth and they will do anything to hurt commercial software on Mac community.I am not naming them but I guess every professional Mac coder on this planet knows who they are. Especially people reading "comments" on Versiontracker.
I found their "www site" which includes a blog type thing which tries to hurt EVERYTHING sold, given free or donated as a "review".
This simple bug has been escalavated by them, confusing mac newbies and creating needless panic.
There is another target of them, "Cocktail". Looks like Apple changed something in AppleScript which leaded to user password, his/her own password to show in system.log. It was no where near "malicious" or "on purpose" but that troll team did everything to escalavate it to a degree to make non technical users to think "it was on purpose" or "spyware".
Most unethical, disgusting of all is: They had a "rival" utility which is distributed as "freeware" of SAME KIND. Doing the same job.
I understand your polite apology but believe me that won't stop them from making that sick propaganda all over.
We speak about some mental disorders here, not "technical" of any kind.

It would probably be a good idea to increment a small number or letter on the program file for this quick fix, so folks will know if they have latest one.Perhaps 5.0.3.1 or 5.0.3.a or something. Just to make it easier on folks who may have the slightly older incorrect one.
(I can remember years ago some commercial products actually called their releases by numbers and dates, so you had to have both the version number (from the program) and the file date (by looking at the file manager list) to know which one you had, and they changed frequently - crazy making)
