nice interface, but...

Feedback Type:  Review

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Just one little problem: it didn't actually make any files. The reason might be that I don't want MP3, Flac, or Ogg Vorbis files: I want .wav or .aiff files. So I unchecked the MP3, Flag, and Ogg checkboxes, because those are not what I want. :) Currently I am using X-CD-Roast for this (cdparanoia front end), but it's an X11 program so I'd rather have something more pleasant and native if possible. Well, Max has a very nice interface which behaves just as expected, with nice feedback during the ripping process. If it would just make .wav or .aiff files at the end of the ripping process, instead of nothing at all which is what I got, it would be great!

If you want Aiff why not just drag and drop the files from the CD onto your hardrive .........

OK, I heard your complaint. Now with libsndfile you can export to over 20 different formats, including numerous variations on WAV and AIFF.
