Eric's TimeCalc Dashboard widget (for Tiger) available at www.woodzie.org/widgets/ or www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/calculate_convert/timecalc.html which has all the features I need, i.e. adding and subtraction down to 1000ths of a second and also SMPTE frames.

I found iuTime strange to use, want to be able to subtract too.

I did try your suggestion but it cannot work with dates just times. iuTime is better if one needs to work with dates.
