A 36MB download for the iPod shuffle! While it is nice that Apple includes all the iPod updates in one program it would only make sense if they actually updated the older iPods.
If you have a 3G iPod or below don’t expect Apple to ever another updater for you. 4G owners, you are next.
I only recommend this if you need it. Otherwise go to Apples website and give them iPod feedback. Tell them you want a podcast main menu item on older iPods. Tell them to fix the 3G battery display, which apple tech support told me is useless. We have made Apple gods in the portable music player business. It is time they paid us back!

Yet Another useless update - Stupid Name
Apple has given us one of the best-designed pieces of consumer electronics ever made. When they release an iPod, they usually believe that the feature set is exactly what they want it to be. A lack of updates for an earlier model means that they have not found any more bugs or other glaring deficiencies. My first generation iPod is pretty much bug-free, and I didn't then nor do I now begrudge the fact that some fairly cool features have since been added to the software for later models.Reply to This
