It's funny, but utilities always appear when I need them! Sort of spontaneously, like mushrooms after a rainfall. X29 is one such tool. A few days after a customer complained about how files with long names get truncated for OS 9 (they still have a legacy OS 9 server for some accounting software) this utility appears, and now they are MUCH happier.
