Printing Bug

Feedback Type:  Usage Tip

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

This version has a major bug in printing - all text in converted into prism like bars of color, no letters print. Graphics do print ok. iCab technical support replied to my e-mail thus:

"This is a bug of the "classic" release of Quicktime 6. Because Apple won't fix this anymore, the only solution at the moment would be to downgrade to Quicktime 5 or older or to upgrade to MacOSX. I'm still looking for a workaround for this quicktime bug." Signed: Alexander Clauss

Since I can't print web pages at the moment, I have to decide if I am willing to downgrade my QuickTime 6.0.3 back to 5.0.5, which is the last version available on the Apple web stie. Hopefully a work around for this problem can be found soon.

I have also noticed that clicking on a new link before the last one is finished downloading will sometimes cause a system freeze. You must keep a sharp eye out on the yellow moving taxi graphic in the upper right corner to avoid this.

While a bit slower than IE, it does handle newer web pages considerably better.
