Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

Recommend Product: YES

This is a fine little app and has great potential for other AEC calculation capabilities. My only issue was its size on the screen. The buttons are much smaller than other calculators on the Mac which consequently slowed down data entry (unless one uses the number pad).
Feature that would be great would be:
  • Area/volume calculation for take-downs, ie. board feet, cubic feet, gallons, etc.
  • Export capability of the tape to simple text or spread sheet for futher formating.
  • Unit conversion for international area/volume calculations.
    a good little app.

Thanks for the great feedback. a couple of notes / questions:

    1) regarding the small buttons: have you tried resizing the calculator? dragging on the lower right hand corner will allow you to make the calculator larger, and all the buttons will get proportionately larger.

    2) export capability is offered for the tape by either dragging and dropping a selection. drag to the desktop and you'll have a clipping file, drag to another app and the text will follow. (i'll consider a simple text export as well)

    3) area volume calculations are supported, though i like the idea of adding board feet and possibly gallon units. simply use shift 2 for sq or shift 3 for cubic and then enter the units. once this is in the register (press equals to put it in the register) then the units can be converted to any of the supported types by changing the unit pull down.

    4) could you be more specific about which units would be helpful for international area/volume calculations, all of the currently support units are supported as linear, square and cubic measures. (millimeters, centimeters, meters and kilometers, inches, feet, yards and miles).
