It keeps telling me I must select at least one of the keyboard options in the Spotlight preference panel, yet both are selected. I've rebooted but I still get the same message. I'd like to try this since using Spotlight itself is tedious at best.

Apologies for this bug and for the delay in fixing it. 10.4.3 changed how spotlight stores its hotkey preferences, and this broke Laserlight. Version 1.0.6, which resolves this problem, has been submitted to Versiontracker and should appear real soon now. Yes, it works with 10.4.4 as well.
