MPEG4 for Video iPod problem...

Feedback Type:  Troubleshooting Report

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

First - this program ROCKS! However, I bring my new QT movies I just ripped from the program to my iTunes - they copy over just fine - but the QT's won't transfer over to my video iPod.

Are there some settings that I need to set to allow for this to happen?

Yes there are settings to get you to copy to your ipod. On their website please see instructions. Very simple and I tried today and it worked.

Geeze - I was looking for a more complete answer than just a "yes." You think maybe you could fill a person in on what to do? The main reason why I'm asking the question here was to get a more precise and direct answer...not just a 'yes.' I don't know which is worse - wasting time reading a 'yes' to my answer - or replying to this post to say what a waste of time hearing 'yes' is.

yeah, the problem is that in order for the video to be copied over to the ipod, it must first be converted to the ipod mv4 format. there are ways around it and other options, but honestly in this case i choose conformity. use QTConvert or Forty-TwoDVD-VXPlus to convert the mpeg4 over to the mv4 for the ipod. both have a clearly shown ipod setting(in forty-twodvd its under the portable setting, there will be a drop down menu just choose ipod at the bottom of the list) then import the resulting file into itunes and set itunes to automatically update video(under the videos tab which is under the ipod tab in the itunes preferences under the itunes menu at the top of our screen. or you can just hit the little ipod button on the bottom right when the ipod is plugged in and it will take you right to all that.) if you just wanna import the one video tothe ipod you can just crete a new playlist in itunes and drop the video there then set itunes to automatically update only that one playlist. should be all you need, if you have anything else lemme know
