Until version 8.1.7, I was happy (5 stars!) but with 8.1.8, Safari 2.0.2 and Tiger 10.4.3, Safari uses at least 50% of CPU, wether in foreground or background, pages open or none - I had to go back to 8.1.7. I have no time unfortunately to investigate this, so if someone made the same experience, let me know.

Huge problem with 8.1.8 - Hao Li
It seems that you have an exception when running Safari. You can send me your Safari preference file so I can trace it. Otherwise, Safari runs just fine on my mac, and I have no open bug report in this area.Reply to This
