I've used Synk for a couple of years now and the developer has been excellent about staying on top of all the iterations of OSX. I do backups to an internal drive and they have performed flawlessly as startups since the developer added that capability. I find the interface uncluttered and the forum on his website is a great place to get more tips and seek advice should you need it. Well worth the asking price.
