Great software, but Tiger broke it. The user crontab is editable, but the system crontab comes up blank. Help! I need to edit it, and now I can't.
Thank you.

Under Tiger, Can't Modify System Cron - Andreas..
It's not CronniX that has changed - it's Apple. If the system crontab comes up blank then it has nothing in it! Perhaps you expected to find the periodic tasks in there - you won't - they are now being handled by launchd. CronniX works as always but you need to be aware that Apple is deprecating cron in favour of launchd. CronniX works just as it always did; you can, for instance, use CronniX to make a new entry in system crontab - do so and check in Terminal with sudo pico /etc/crontab, and then you can edit it in CronniX as always (or in pico). You need to do some reading - Google for 'launchd'/'cron Tiger'/'edit system cron Tiger', etc, etc - you will have enough to read for a month!
