ok...
bitTorrent 4.17 sucks allot - but what the hell is wrong with the people, who gave everywhere 5 stars?
are "they" only "one", who uses everytime another name to write critics... maybe?

well, i tried it and here is my critcs:
1st, transmission only get downloads from the seeders - not from the other peers.
if there are no seeders, just peers - you get a funky speed of "0,0" - wow!
2nd, you can´t delete old torrent files. you can stop them, but after that you can´t delete them. the only way is to quit and restart or to delete the preferece file and start again.
3rd, there is no signal, that tolds me that the file is 100% well done! no signal, no color. so i used another bt-app, to check the file, if its really ready!
4th, sorry - but stable is my "mola" - not transmission. excuse´moi!
now, i think i go back to the good old bitTorrent app. this will cost me my cpu-speed, but it still works - sorry!

"1st, transmission only get downloads from the seeders - not from the other peers."

I don't think so, though it may appear that way if you do not take the time to let Transmission connect to the peers.

"2nd, you can´t delete old torrent files. you can stop them, but after that you can´t delete them. the only way is to quit and restart or to delete the preferece file and start again. "

I don't think so, though it may appear that way if you do not take the time to let Transmission disconnect from downloding peers, and from the trackers. Unresponsive trackers, especially, can take a long time to cleanly acknowledge a disconnect.

"3rd, there is no signal, that tolds me that the file is 100% well done! no signal, no color. so i used another bt-app, to check the file, if its really ready! "

I don't think so, though it might appear that way if you do not take the time to check the menu options. View>Advanced Progress Bar might be particularly enlightening.

"4th, sorry - but stable is my "mola" - not transmission. excuse´moi!"

mola:
noun: among the largest bony fish; pelagic fish having an oval compressed body with high dorsal and anal fins and caudal fin reduced to a rudder-like lobe; worldwide in warm waters

I'm having a little trouble with this one...
