Why to Bother ...

Feedback Type:  Developer Note

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

To further comment on jnsimon's question: while yes you can open .nfo files in TextEdit by drag&dropping them to the TextEdit icon (not by double clicking them as you can with NFOViewer), TextEdit will not automatically detect the coding these files are in and will thus not properly show the .nfo file's ASCII art.

Why not to Bother ... - jnsimon

Try command-i (or right click-"get info"), then "open with" and choose TextEdit and press "change all". Then TextEdit will be the default app for .nfo, or whatever you want.
