Was working great for me (replaced TypeIt4Me) up until I upgraded to 10.4.3 and now it is nonfunctional.

Seems to no longer work for me in 10.4.3 - bakari
Yep, I had the same problem. I had this program a few weeks before updating to 10.4.3. It worked fine until I did the OS X update. I can't use the abbreviations to insert text any longer. I've written them a couple of times, but they just keep telling me to re-install. This program is a real time saver. Wish I could get it to work again.Sunday, December 04 2005 @ 01:54 PM PST

Well I figured it out and, boy, was it obscure.I did an archive reinstall, updated to 10.4.3 and it worked!! Did an installation, rebooted and the problem returned. After MUCH fiddling I realized that if I logged in with the shift key held down (which I had been doing during the reinstallations to speed up log in) the problem was gone (a different problem was also gone from Canvas).
The culprit? Quicken scheduler. If I have one-step updates enabled WITH accounts enabled to update at some scheduled time, Textpander ceases working. If I disable one-step scheduled updating all accounts then it works (same with Canvas).

I don't know how you messed up your system, but I'm using it in 10.4.3 and it works as always.Reply to This
