0.5.0b installation fails - slartibart
gentle persons, this is a MacOSX 10.4.x related bug of Apple's installer app. While I redid the installer available for download, if you have problems installing under MacOSX 10.4.x please do the following:
- delete any cb2bib-related receipt inside the folder /Library/Receipts BEFORE running the installer
- run the installer.
If this give the again the "there is nothing to install"-error message, you can extract the files from the installation-bundle and install manually:
----------------------------------------------------------
- Select the cb2bib 0.5 installer icon.
- Control-Click *or use the show package content-command from the menu; this works not on the desktop but within any directory* and choose "show package content" from the pop-up context menu.
- In the opening window, open the "Contents"-folder.
- Inside there is a file called "Archive.pax.gz", double click it. The content of the archive will be expanded to the new appearing folder "Archive".
- Inside the extracted "Archive"-folder you'll find 2 folders: "Applications" and "usr".
- Inside "Applications" you find the cb2bib05-folder - copy it where you want to have it. The folder "usr represents the installation folder hierachy for the additional files from the cb2bib-distribution -> Archive/usr/local/cb2bib and Archive/usr/local/share/pixmap.
-Make sure that you copy the folder Archive/usr/local/cb2bib to /usr/local/cb2bib .
That's it. Now run the latest cb2bib.
----------------------------------------------------------
Sorry for the inconvinience, but this is a bug from the installer app.
