Since I'm running 10.3.9, this won't launch. Am I correct that OS X 10.4 is required for this application, but 10.4 already offers multi-person videoconferencing?

You misunderstand the purpose of PowerBoost. It allows unsuported Macs running 10.4 to use the multiperson video chat feature of iChat. Most of us that bought 10.4 thought we would be able to use multiperson chat with our older macs but couldn't unless we were using a G5 or a dual processor G4 to host the multiperson chat. Now, thanks to PowerBoost, we can. It works great, just like the older iChatUSBCam did in letting you use iChat video without having a 600 Mghz. or better Mac.Sunday, October 30 2005 @ 01:25 PM PST

Hi. Multi-party video was introduced in iChat 3. iChat 3 is only available with 10.4, so yes, 10.4 is required.Reply to This
