Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

Recommend Product: YES

The new "Character Back Color" menu item is what other editors call a highlighter. It is now possible to highlight text in any color you please. The cool thing about this feature is that I asked the developer about it only two weeks ago or so, and suddenly it's there. Nice. Of course, other (but not all) editors can do this too, but Jedit X has features I haven't found in others. Try it and see if it suits your working style. What I like about it is its bookmarks feature and the fact that its been rewritten in cocoa.

Now has highlighting - ghostdoguk_dotmac

How about TextMate. If you are not looking for asian characters then I can really recommend this. Otherwise I really do find it hard to recommend this above the others I listed earlier. It's still goood to see so many apps developed for OSX so please do not see this as a criticism.

Contextual Menus - stoneman

A feature I hadn't noticed before, which is pretty handy, is the ability to make Applescripts in this application appear in its contextual menu.
