So many things are broke with this app, I don't even know where to start.
- the main window has a toolbar with icons for features I would never want to use, and I can't edit the toolbar. I can hide it, but the next time I start up the app, the icons are back.
- You can display a grandfather clock and a digital wris*censored*ch, but you cannot get rid of them unless you quit the app (just plain bad programming)
- Creating an alarm that wakes me up daily at 7 requires a ridiculous amount of clicks.
- Alarm summary should read "daily at 7:00", quick and easy to read, right? Actually, it reads "do ... on the last, 2nd to last, 3rd to last, 4th to last, 5th to last Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday of every month at 7:00"
- PowerManager: What I want is a checkbox "make sure that alarm goes off even when machine is sleeping". Boom, end of story. But no, this app requires you to calculate manually the time it should wake up, and then, every evening, you have to manually go into a certain menu and activate the "PowerManager mode". Extremely user-unfriendly.
- I like to wake myself up with an iTunes playlist, which works fine, but the app doesn't make sure that the system volume is actually turned up and the right output source is chosen. Such a small feature would go a long way.
Nice try, but the author must have never heard about the concept that an app should make things easier for the user, not more complicated. Sorry, I can't recommend this app.

Censorship gone crazy - Mr Tea
Is it really true that you can't write 'wris*censored*ch' on VT? Do you have to write 'wrist watch' instead? Apparently so. How sad is that...Tuesday, January 17 2006 @ 02:33 AM PST
Bad App - Koingo Software
It is not possible to set wake events on the fly. You MUST use the Power Manager. To edit the actual Power Manager on the Mac OS, it requires an Administration password. Unless you want to enter it every single time you wish to set an alarm, this feature will never be available. It is possible to maximize the system volume in most every previous version of Alarm Clock Pro, and do the same for iTunes. Just visit the Preferences window and the Setup button for the event you chose in the Edit Alarm window. Turning both of these settings on to change the volume will ensure your system is at maximum volume as well as iTunes.
Some people, like you, don't read the documentation and are complaining they don't know how to close it. Control-click to close the window via contextual menus was how to do it, and it will continue to also support that option.
