Existing users, 
Unstable on my notebook. Freezes quite often when I import cd tracks and encode them to mp3. The only way out is killing the task...
I have a dell latitude D505, running under win-xp sp1. I'm quite dissapointed I can't use it...
Didn't try the cd burning, I heard it might be catastrophic.

I have the same problem and I have XP SP2 already. I have imported 4500 songs and then itunes started freezing on each CD inserted for extraction. I cannot end the process or close the program the only way out is to power off...any thoughts?Friday, November 18 2005 @ 11:35 AM PST

Yes Mike, my problem is the exact same as yours!! I am so frustrated, I have Windows XP and I imported 1300 songs fine. But now everytime I try to import more songs through any kind of audio disc, my whole computer freezes, and I have to manually power my computer off. It does that after 1-6 song imports.
