Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 6-12 months

Recommend Product: NO

I thought I had found the answer to my prayers after ACT stopped supporting Mac. I spent untold hours trying to get a handle on this software and it never really did what I needed done (real estate contact management and everything that entails). Every once in a while I could see light at the end of this overbuilt tunnel, but after having to reinstall my OS a few months ago and actually needing real help, I realized I had made one of the biggest professional blunders in years. These people have NO person to person help. I emailed them numerous times to get a solution and got the same response each time - do this, this and this - all to no avail. At least they did email back ( a few times!!!) After weeks of no access to my contacts, I emailed them begging that someone PLEASE call me at MY toll free number and get me out of this jam. That was the the last contact ever made because I have never heard from them again.
This may be good for some HUGE corporate scenario, but it is a bloated, cumbersome, piece of crap that needs its own IT guy 24/7.
If you are small to medium business and want to get production right, think twice before you buy this one.

PS I'll sell you the manual CHEAP!

Something must have fallen through the cracks because we to solve all issues and if we can't solve them, we clearly tell you. Unless you've deleted your database, there shouldn't be any reason why you wouldn't be able to get to you contacts. Please contact us again. Thanks & Sorry!

I will be glad to forward my previous emails to you. If you can fix it then I stand corrected. At this point, I have indeed gone on to another product, but quite a bit of the data that was in Daylite was not able to be reconstructed.

Again, regretably, I feel that a phone walk thru is the only thing that will work. I am still willing to pay.

The emails are on their way...

I guess I didn't mention - yes, I still have Daylite on my machine and the data files also. At least I can see what I think are the files, the program says "no local databases found"

Hi,

I did investigate what happened to this case. It looks like there was some kind of miscommunication. We assumed you where fixed up because we didn't hear back (customers often don't tell us if something has been resolved, so we have to make certain assumption - i.e. number of days since we last emailed). If you haven't already contacted support, please do so, we will get you going.

Thanks & Sorry for the drop.
