Silly behavior of "silent" upgrading. Why don't they renumber it 4.3.1? - swsd

I am really upset. I installed this in place of my existing version (which did indeed have the choke problem on large transfers) and it erased all my settings, and saved favorites, and shortcuts, and serial number.

Off I go to Transmit.

This is a bug fix not a new version - john109

It is not standard practice to release a new version for bug fixes.
New versions are released when new functionality is added as requested by users or deemed necessary to improve the user experience.

Please write to Captain FTP Support at mac_support@xdsnet.de and let us know what version you were using before installing the bug fix.

The bug fix will not remove any favorites or default settings and cannot remove the serial number - this is impossible.

It is more likely you upgraded from version 3.5, in which case it is possible the application was installed in a different location and now you simply cannot acces your favorites.

Please reinstall version 3.5 and export your favorites or use the import function toimport your favorites using version 4.3.
