I installed the trial version and it was complex and performed poorly.
So I ran the uninstall to remove it. All files it said were installed and shown in the logs were removed but every single day a pop-up appears floating on top of my screen reminding me to pay for it.
I tried contacting the author but he does not write back.
I looked at my process list, my start up items, my cron jobs and I cannot find what is causing the pop up. I have logged out and search my hard drive for the text and cannot hunt the damn thing down.
It appears that it installs APE and actually modifies your kernel. so I may have this pop-up permenanty till I re-install my system.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS!!! - foofoofoo
So then you agree the unistall does not work and leaves behind some Daemon that there is no apparent way to uninstall?? Good god man, don't you realize how wrong this is? No one should install this turd.At least tell us how to get rid of the "SR" deamon as long as you are going to admit it you are installing it.

Yes, I admit that "SwitchRes Installer" installs a "SwitchRes (SR) Daemon". This is documented in the ReadMe and after installation in the "list of files installed". I admit that Uninstalling does move all files, including the Daemon, to the Trash, instead of immediately deleting them. I admit that this Daemon that is in the Trash may in your case still be running, showing this message sometimes. I admit that you can just empty the Trash to solve your problem. Now, on your side, admit that saying that SwitchRes modifies the Kernel, leaves files behind it, and more generally does obscure things, is completely wrong...Saturday, November 12 2005 @ 01:33 AM PST

Just the answer to this feedback:- The reminder is handeld by the SR Daemon. You probably missed it in the Activity Monitor.
- I didn't get an email from you. Either your mail was rejected by the antispam filters, or I missed it. Otherwise you would have got an answer.
- SR doesn't touch the kernel. This is a false statement. See point 1.
- Yes, SR installs APE. This is clearly indicated. And what's the problem with APE ?
