On the mistatree.org website Vince states that version 2.0.1 of Psst! cannot be activated from the Finder in Mac OS Tiger - however, the current version is perfectly sufficient for me: getting rid of the startup chime because it is useless!

I could get the settings window by double-click on the icon in the "System Preferences", "Accounts", "Login Items".

This is on Mac OS 10.4.3 with Version 2.0.1
