Existing users, 
the fact i had to ditch this program once i went from panther to tiger and that the developer has yet to solve all the bugs in tiger (albeit they are full of excuses) makes one's head spin.
i used it for two years with my old system. it wasn't perfect, but it worked. most of the time.
but now....
extensis' products will never touch my machine again.

Phew - thought it was just me! Like many reviewers I've re-built my fonts more times than I care to mention, following Extensis' advice (their support did respond pretty quickly though). Seems to be a bug on some Macs as SC X1 works fine under Tiger on my laptop (PB G3), but on my main Mac (Dual 2Ghz G5), takes forever to open/close a font. Also it won't allow the Mac to shut down.It does mean you get more breaks during the day and the office gets tidied up more often during the 10-20 minute breaks while waiting for docs to open and close.
Thanks for offering alternatives - I'll definately switch.
In the meantime avoid this app. - it really is dreadful.
