"Bonehead Award" Nomination

Feedback Type:  Commentary

Contributed by: Bob K1 Friday, October 14 2005 @ 10:00 AM PDT

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

Recommend Product: YES

I'd like to second a previous reviewer's nomination for Adobe's "Bonehead of the Year" award. It seems well deserved and they must have worked diligently to achieve such infamy.

After suffering through the same download nightmare as the previous posters, I finally got the 7.0.5 updater. Success at last! Well, not quite ...
Now I get this Adobe error:

"No space left on device
Errorcode: 6740.1547.10.2.25013
Please send the error code to
http://www.adobe.com/misc/bugreport.html"

I have over 10GB free space on my HD. Is this file larger than that?
WTF? Any solutions? (besides using Preview, that is)

"Bonehead Award" Nomination - mjcomins

Add me to the list - I got the same error box. It's ridiculous having to jump through the download manager hoop and still not receive a file that actually unpacks.

"Bonehead Award" Nomination - bwadm

I got the Error message from the 7.0.5 installer as well:

error code 6740.1547.10.2.25013
(please report to Adobe at the URL ..... but you will get no answer!)

as well! Searching with Google only found the MacFixit thread. Why does Adobe asks to tell an error code, but does not at least explain on a website what it means?? Not to ask for a tip how to repair!!!
