What's the point of installing Adobe Reader Download Manager.app right into my Utilities folder as a preliminary step before the actual downloading? Why does it really "call home"? Is it just because of Adobe stupidity? I doubt. I just do not trust freewares that "call home" without telling me exactly what info is taken out of my computer. And surprise surprise, even when you get the full 7.0.5 version directly from the official Adobe cite, your Mac still "calls back home", but without telling you!!! Good to have Little Snitch around to the rescue, just in case...

Beware of freewares that "call home" - ProfAD

Fix:
Go to their cite at ftp:// ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/mac/7x/7.0.5/enu/ and download directly AdbeRdr705_enu_full.dmg
