Beware...

Feedback Type:  Commentary

Contributed by: macsolu Thursday, October 13 2005 @ 09:36 PM PDT

Product Platform:

Used Product For: Over One Year

I tried, multiple times, to update Acrobat from within the app (going to the Help menu and selecting Update) -- the Adobe Updater app would then launch and almost immediately fail / crash / unexpectedly quit. Gave up on that method and just downloaded the 7.0.5 update image from the link listed above. Applied the update from the mounted disk image and everything worked fine. P.I.T.A., but at least one of the two methods worked OK.

Beware... - AppleBeer

Beware of what? No one else is having problems and Adobe doesn't make faulty software.

Oh, so you now speak for everybody? And Adobe has never made any software that's been buggy? Ha!

You've clearly been drinking too much Apple Beer.

Beware... - mail117

Me too - same problem. Went off to Adobe's site and downloaded AC705Stp_ddnsfsip. That doesn't work - just tells you that you are trying to patch an invalid application - grrr!
