I tried, multiple times, to update Acrobat from within the app (going to the Help menu and selecting Update) -- the Adobe Updater app would then launch and almost immediately fail / crash / unexpectedly quit. Gave up on that method and just downloaded the 7.0.5 update image from the link listed above. Applied the update from the mounted disk image and everything worked fine. P.I.T.A., but at least one of the two methods worked OK.
