Just got the X-Plane update notice. Downloaded the X-Plane 820 Beta Installer-1. Then sucked down the 538 megs in just under 5 minutes with the new and easy to use installer combined with Austin's new high bandwidth connections! Popped my X-Plane DVD in my PowerMac's Superdrive to remove the demo limitations and then hopped in the B-2 for a test flight around San Bernadino area.
After cleaning the bugs off the windshield I have to say this new X-Plane 8.20 Beta rocks! The code was re-written from from scratch says Austin and now the terrain updates are alot quicker plus more new cool stuff! I would though like to see more aircraft added and more realistic scenery. But until then X-Plane is worth the money if you are into realistic flight simulation!
