Most people agree that Sound Studio has always had the best, most elegant user interface. And while its hard to compete with "free" - we've always found the ease of use and stability of Sound Studio to be well worth the price, (which is why we've been using it for years to create sound-effects and record dialog for our games. We were customers long before we were publishers).

This new version adds some important features, and we see it positioned for people who want something much easier to use and less expensive than a PEAK and a little more robust, supported and elegant than the other options.

But by all means, use whatever works for you.
