So this is what it must be like to install programs on Windows.
I tried to initially download Adobe 7.0.3 thinking that it would install the full version. Nope, it's just an updater. No problem, head over to Adobe's site to get the full version. What I got instead was an installer for an update manager which would then turn around and download the full version! Stupid. Absolutely stupid. Of course, the installer downloaded after a good twenty minutes and I was notified that it was corrupted. Fortunately, I came over here and found the direct link to the full version image. Once that worked out for me, I tried to use the updater and found that not only it required 7.0.2, I would have to install 7.0.1 just to get to 7.0.2 and THEN apply the 7.0.3 updater!
Well, it would be great to use the built-in update manager if it didn't crash on launch every time...
I found the standalone updaters and manually applied all of the updates.
All this for a damn PDF viewer. Not to mention bloated - weighing in at just over 100 MB.
Oh yeah, it's slow too. Preview runs circles around it. Now if Preview can get up to par with Acrobat feature for feature, there would be no need for this bloated piece of junk.
Be ready to tear your hair out if you're starting with the downloading of the full Reader and attempting to use AUM in 10.4.2.
To actually pay for the full version of this crap is an even bigger joke.
