Not Functioning

Feedback Type:  Review

Contributed by: RockMSockM9NY Saturday, October 08 2005 @ 01:23 PM PDT

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Well, it's awesome to see that AOL radio is available on the MAC, but, every time I attempt to "load the station list," the program's progress bar never moves, fails to load the stations, and then displays the message: "You are not signed on to AOL radio"--which is strange since I had to sign on to begin the station retrieval process.. lol

I've tried quitting the program, restarting the machine, using it while im using AOL, and using it when I'm NOT using AOL. Nothing works. At one point, the "station list" progress bar filled up about 5%, and then it stalled again--with no results.

It should be noted that I've been monitoring my throughput during each AOL radio use, and there has been no activity.

Hopefully I can get this to work--it would be nice to check it out!

I've had exactly the same result. Clearly they have screwed something up for the timeout interval or something related to that. I too hope that they get this working, as it's currently the only way to listen to New York's WQXR outside of the NYC area.

It worked flawlessly for me when I first downloaded it earlier today. Listened for over an hour with no problems. I left left for a few hours and came back later. Since then it disconnects after a few seconds. I'm guessing it's a server problem that they'll quickly resolve. Same problem on PowerBook and iMac.
