A few things to note about iFill:
- iFill requires your iPod to be in hard disk mode (i.e. it stays mounted on the desktop and must be manually ejected)
- iFill requires your iPod to be set to "manually managed" mode - i.e. no syncing with iTunes
- iFill is dependent on how the iPod works internally. What works today (if it works, which is a big question) may not work tomorrow, and...
- ... iFill is a Griffin product. Ask any user of a past product from Griffin about their software support. It sure ain't pretty. For example the iMate's software has always been problematic/caused kernel panics and then they just stopped trying. The once highly touted Powermate rotary controller has never been updated to work with fast user switching (goes crazy if multiple user accounts are "logged in") and I believe it doesn't work with Tiger either. It appears that they will never update the software, but even if they do I certainly won't bother to download it because odds are that it won't work right anyway.
Buyer beware. Griffin does not know how to write software. The thought of buying a purely software product from them is absolutely ludicrous.

Re: Buyer beware - TwoSailors Network
Well. That doesn't mean anything. In this case, Griffin is the exclusive distributor of iFill but not necessarily responsible for its development. I am. And I am known for my software and support.I can promise that this is going to rock. There were a few startup problems but this cannot be counted against iFill or Griffin.
