I was hoping to start using this again, since Apple's terminal lacks some features found in DataComet-secure. Unfortunately, it seems to be pretty buggy under Tiger. It crashes when editing password fields, and there are other GUI glitches.
This is unfortunate, because this is a very good program otherwise.
Not perfect, but pretty good.
iTerm would be great, but it also crashes under certain circumstances.
Still looking for a terminal better than Apple's, that doesn't crash.

Great, but buggy - BiG77
I crash regularly. Sent a crash log, got an acknowledgment, followed shortly by a "we don't know but will investigate" and then I never heard back again. The current build is quite old, not universal and seems stagnant. I'd hardly call this good support.

Great, but buggy - bonze
Your characterization of dataComet-Secure being "pretty buggy" under Tiger doesn't match our experience, nor that of our customers. We have only received two reports of repeatable crashing bugs with dataComet, and neither of those were on systems with stock Tiger or Panther installations (i.e. other third-party software was installed that modified system behavior). For nearly all Tiger users, dataComet-Secure works just fine.
We take crashing bugs seriously (and all other feedback, too). If you would e-mail the crash log (there should be a file in ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter named dataComet-Secure.crash.log), we would like to investigate what's going wrong with your dataComet setup. It's unusual, in our experience, for dataComet to crash under Tiger. We'd like to know why it's happening for you. Any info you would provide would be most appreciated.
Thanks!
