Help using Page Sender with 10.4.2

Feedback Type:  Troubleshooting Report

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

When attempting to use Page Sender on my 2 GHz iMac G5 running Mac OS X.4.2, I get as far as the "pagesender" printer application, which gives me the status message "Sending job to pagesender Helper" and then does nothing. The Page Sender Fax Center application does not open, the modem doesn't pick up the line, and the fax isn't visibly (or invisibly) sent. I have uninstalled and reinstalled version 3.5.2, and I have thus far been unable to figure out the problem.

I have used earlier versions of Page Sender, but I am having a hard time justifying leaving this on my computer, much less paying for software that doesn't appear to work!

Help using Page Sender with 10.4.2 - Matsgz

Sorry, can't help you. Hope someone else can. I have the same problem as you: I can recieve faxes, but not send them. After I press "print", nothing happens. The job doesn't transmit and there is no trace of it in the "pagesender Fax Center". If I open "Page Sender" there's something going on and a message "Waiting for job to complete..." only, it doesn't.
I have tried to delete the job, after which I have opened The "Printer sedtup utility", according to wich "page sender" is still printing. I have taken "page sender" away from the printer list and put it there again. It still claims that the printer is printing. It doesn't make any difference if I install or reinstall the software. The same thing happens.
I haven't got the option not to buy this software, as I bought it for my previous computer, an IBook with 10.2.8 - on which it worked. On my new machine, a 1.5 Powerbook with OSX 10.4.2 it doesn't.
