i checked baytex out cause i've decided to learn how to dj, basically beat match. since is don't have cash to buy decks and a mixer i decided to go the laptop method. i like the layout of this baytex party, it's not as intimidating as say dj1800, but it won't play any of the tracks i downloaded off itunes. i can get it to play my mp3s that i ripped off cds. i've emailed the developer, but haven't had a response. i'd like to use this app due to the friendlier interface, but dj1800 has better itunes intergration as it'll play any track in my library.

You may want to look at MegaSeg.

I bought Dj 1800 and found out the hard way that if you have a big music library that it wasn't the ticket. It would take up to 30 minutes to load. If you want to dj, and use a laptop, MEGASEG might be the better choice. I spent the extra money and it hasn't let me down. The programmer also answered any questions I had in a very short time. Dj1800 still hasn't wrote me back and it was a year ago.
