Used the update button from within the application, chose to download but was brought to a missing page. Then went to their web site and downloaded and installed. Synchronize button non operational. Synchronize menu item triggers a sync but no events were synchronized. Checked the console - realized that my password had changed (my company forces a change every 3 months). Groupcal needs to interpret error codes and present dialog notifying user rather than silently doing nothing.

Once the password was changed sync proceeded without error. Note that iCal will be quit while the sync happens. I can project all sorts of issues around this - what if you restart it while a sync is happening, what if you are working in iCal when groupcal decides to do its periodic synchronization.

Release notes, as usual, are inadequate. For instance change that has iCal quit for sync is not mentioned. Although it is mentioned on web site that this is not final Tiger solution, no note is made of what is missing, or what will be fixed/enhanced in 3.0. (they mention that it will use sync services, but this information of no value to me as a user without telling me what it will help me with). I am already bristling at the thought of having to shell out more money for bug fixes.

I have received one invitation and accepted it, and sent one out. They did appear on my outlook calendar. (Good)

I'm happy that it seems to function. We'll see what happens over the next few days.

I still can't recommend the product but may change my assessment if it seems stable for a while, and if they are responsive to fixing bugs.
