Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

You know, I've been playing around with Opera since its latest release yesterday and I really like it. It has an incredible feature set and it's fast. I could see this becoming a regular-use browser for me. I, too, have been going back and forth between Safari, Camino, and Firefox. There are some things that take some getting used to with Opera (e.g., cmd-n for a new page (tab), not cmd-t), but you eventually get familiar with its features. IMO it's worth a good long look.

How to get CMD-T working - v1m

I'm impressed with Opera, too.

Btw, while the options settings are deeply buried, it's possible to configure Opera for the Safari-friendly cmd-T.

Preferences-->Advanced-->Shortcuts-->Keyboard Setup-->Opera Standard-->Edit.

Note: Upon editing, you'll see the addition of the new entry "Opera Standard (Modified)". Use that from now on when making changes.

Next, choose the Application menu.

Note that the two columns are sortable. Sort the Action column and locate the entry for New Page. Edit the field on the left column to read "t Command" (sans quotes).

Further changes, such as setting up Safari-style command-arrow controls for going to the top and bottom of the page, are configurable in Advanced-->Browswer Widgit.
