Just installed 2.6.4 and when I try to use it to deactivate the Cache and Site Icon cache, I get Applescript errors that say it can't lock the folders. BUT, it's pointing to a user directory that does not exist as I have my Users on a separate volume and it assumes it's on the root volume. I reverted back to 2.6.3 and it works fine.
System Info:10.4.2, Safari 2.0.1

Gordon - the problem now is that when it doesn't work, SE hangs after displaying the error messages (spinning wheel indicating it's still trying to deactivate caches).Sunday, September 18 2005 @ 03:18 PM PDT

What I should also mention is that 2.6.3 does deactivate the cache for me, but 2.6.4 won't when it displays the error message. So something changed to make it not work for non-root volumes. Again, reverting back to 2.6.3 works. (And my permissions were just fine and didn't need fixing.)Sunday, September 18 2005 @ 03:22 PM PDT

Actually, it didn't work in the last version either. This version just lets you know it isn't working. Support for user directories that moved to other volumes has always been dodgy.Reply to This
