This still crashes iTunes 5.0 under OSX 10.4.2, QT 7.0.2 ... otherwise, would be absolutely beautiful...

I had this problem, too, at first - I had copied the component to /Library/iQuickTime/, and still it crashed. Then I looked and found that the old component was still in ~/Library/QuickTime/. I deleted that one, and now it works!Hooray!
Finally, I can listen to my Oggs again. :-)
