Type Shft-Cmnd-G and then type /volumes, then drag the small icon from the window header to any utility you are using (i.e FolderGlance in my case), and voila, you will have access to all your volumes. You just have to do this once in your lifetime.
But if you still don't feel like doing that, because it's not gran'ma friendly, then maybe you should go ahead and pay the $15.

I probably would have gone with the free one, if in fact it does move a file(s) or folder(s) by contextual menu to any location on the HD.
