Product Platform: MacOS,MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

Recommend Product: YES

The "password" bug isn't the end of the world (you just have to click on "Unlock" instead of just hitting return), but I am curious where the downloaded fix is...I can't find it on the Orbis web site.

There isn't one. I emailed them and that's what I was told. Looks like you have to obtain the CD somehow.

Same message here... Their email response says "Sorry, it is not available for download as our website explains" ... I've responded with a second email questionning this charge for a small bug fix ("V3.6.2c is the first version to support Tiger. It corrects a problem in the ENTER PASSWORD window.") Maybe they will see the absurdity of having to pay $10 for such a minor update. I'd have no problem paying whatever they asked for V 4 when it comes out. However, if they follow it up with V 4.0.1, will they charge us another $10? How many blank CD's can YOU buy for $10?

My feelings exactly. If they are trying to stop people being able to update pirated copies, then there are far less inconvenient (and expensive) ways of doing it.

I do have to admit that they responded twice in one day to my emails...a Sunday no less! no progress though on avoiding the $10 CD. I put the newest version of clipboard on my Palm T3 PDA but am still using 3.6.1 on my OS 10.4 mac. It caused a minor problem... classes with no assignments yet did not synch. It appeared that I had lost 3 classes from my PDA. Not too good after a week of school. However, these were the classes where I hadn't entered any assignments yet...(due to a flaky first week schedule) added an assignment on my Mac and they all transferred. I thought I had lost 3 classes (out of 7) until I figured it out. I have used this program for over a year and really think it is top notch... just not happy about this cd deal.
