Yes, EasyFind has many options. But the real question for me was whether it was better than Finder's Find command. Spotlight has its advantages and disadvantages, the latter being providing you with so many irrelevant hits when you just want a darn file with the name "frank."
The answer for me is "no." EasyFind is simply too slow compared to the Find command, (at least in my setup: OS 10.4.2, G4, gagillion files.) Perhaps there will be situations win which the wonderful modifiability of EasyFind will make it preferable, but to be honest, I can't think of any.

If your getting too many "hits" from Spotlight, don''t use the menu bar's Spotlight. Use the Find command and search by Name. You can also narrow further. Easyfind is great for finding items in places that Spotlight does not index.Reply to This
